Baptism

The sacrament of baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into the Church and its importance is acknowledged by both the Church and those who participate in it. Parents (who are registered parishioners) and Godparents are prepared by instruction in a special Baptismal Preparation Program. The essential parts of this program (to be completed in the order shown below) are: 1. Call the rectory and register for the program. 2. Attend a Pre-Baptism Program (which is usually held on the last Thursday of the month) in the rectory basement at 7 p.m. 3. Celebrate the sacrament of Baptism. (This is celebrated on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.) Please call the rectory if you have any questions about this program.

Eucharist

The Eucharist is celebrated during all of our masses. Please see our website home page for mass times.

Reconciliation

Confessions - Saturday at 4 p.m. Please call the rectory to schedule other times. Those wishing Spiritual Direction may call the rectory for an appointment with Fr. Sullivan.
Sacrament of the Sick

Ministry to those in the hospital or those home-bound. Your parish priest, deacon and ministers are eager to help anyone who is unable to celebrate with us because of age, illness or handicap. There is no problem visiting private homes if we are notified. However, because of new Privacy Laws, it has become increasingly difficult to visit parishioners in the hospital. Also hospitals no longer inform the parishes of admittances. If you, or a relative living in the parish, would like to receive the Sacrament of the Sick, or would like to receive Communion, please call the rectory, 860-644-2411, to inform us and to give permission to visit.

Marriage

Parishioners may call the rectory to reserve a date and time for your intended marrige. Preparations for this sacrament must begin at least 6 months prior to the scheduled date.

Adult Confirmation

The Office of Religious Education, Newington, CT offers Adult Confirmation Classes for baptized Catholics over the age of 18 who have received First Communion and some catechesis. For additonal information call the rectory at 860-644-2411.
